Ski clubs in different cities can be a charter of a larger national organization, like National Brotherhood of Skiers who have chapter all over the country. Other ski clubs may built by corporations for their employees. Ski clubs are also organized into geographic regions, and a ski council governs each.
Many Cycling clubs are not-for-profit organizations who provide their members
weekly rides. Many cycling clubs compete in races on many different levels.
