Natural Snow

Big Horn Ski Resort is located on top of the Big Horn Mountain Range. The texture of the snow is literally among the best in the world. It’s light, dry and powdery. Big Horn Ski Resort not only has tons of great natural snow, it also has large snow-guns to assure good skiing every day from opening day to the end of the season. There are 14 runs, with some up to 1.5 miles long.

Located on the Teton Range in the Rocky Mountains, Grand Targhee is well known for excellent and abundant snow. Targhee receives an average of over 40 feet of snow each season, putting it among the top resorts worldwide for frozen precipitation. Grand Targhee also provides abundant and varied terrain over 2201 foot vertical drop, with 1,500 lift-served acres on Fred’s Mountain and an additional 1,500 acres dedicated to snowcat powder skiing on Peaked, Targhee’s second mountain.

Jackson Hole Wyoming is located in Teton Mountains and was originally named Jackson’s Hole for Davey Jackson, a mountain man who trapped in the area during the late 1800′s. "Hole" was a term used in that day to describe a high mountain valley. Jackson Hole is ready-made for free skiing. In resort’s upper reaches setting, skills count — the high terrain at Jackson is best suited to advanced and expert skiers. Recent lift additions provide better access to the gentler slopes on the lower half of the mountain.

Snow King Ski Area, located in the foothills of the Gros Ventre Mountains near Jackson opened in 1939, the first ski resort in Wyoming. Snow King offers 1571 foot vertical drop served by one triple and two double chairlifts as well as a surface tow. The area is open for day and night skiing and has an extensive snow making system covering over 110 acres for reliable snow conditions.

Snowy Range is located in the beautiful Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. Snowy Range has a 991 foot vertical drop serviced by 3 lifts that will move you up the mountain quickly and keep you skiing instead of standing. Beginner, intermediate or expert, regardless of your personal level of proficiency, you’ll find the perfect ski or snowboard run-be it a downhill screamer or a casual glide through tree-lined forests. Our 27 trails serve all skiing abilities from beginner to expert: 7 Beginner trails, 12 Intermediate trails, 8 Expert trails.
