Most ski clubs are not-for-profit organizations who provide their members trips that are significantly less expensive than what is available to almost anybody else. Traveling with a group costs less, gives you a greater variety of people to ski and socialize with, provides you with the perfect opportunity to make new friends, and makes every trip more fun. Many clubs also offer year-round fun activities besides skiing like canoeing, rock climbing, and many other activities.
Ski clubs in different cities can be a charter of a larger national organization, like National Brotherhood of Skiers who have chapter all over the country. Other ski clubs may built by corporations for their employees. Ski clubs are also organized into geographic regions, and a ski council governs each.
