Alabama is known as the "Heart of Dixie," has a population of 4,447,100 with two ski clubs. The North Alabama region is mostly mountainous, with the Tennessee River cutting a large valley. Birmingham Ski Club
A non-profit organization chartered to promote the sport of Snow Skiing. They have sponsored trips to Canada, Colorado, California, Nevada and Italy. Friday night outings, Christmas parties, and Summer parties are some of their "other" attractions.

the Huntsville Ski Club was established in 1963 does more than just ski, they have summer cookouts, we have dances, we go white water rafting, hiking, bicycling, and etc.
