The Mountain State Wheelers Bicycle Club is a nonprofit corporation devoted to increasing the benefits of bicycling in the Greater Kanawha Valley. The club is affiliated with the League of American Bicyclists, America's National Bicycle Organization (since 1880), and the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA).
The WVU Cycling has two aspects to it. First is the club which is composed of university students, faculty, staff, and community members. The second is the racing team, composed only of full time students, undergraduate and graduate who compete against other schools in the ACCC, Atlantic Coast Cycling Conference.
