Many clubs also offer year-round fun activities like canoeing, white water rafting, picnics, hiking, horseback riding, dinner theater outings, golfing, biking, camping, movie premiere nights, in-line skating, rock climbing, and many other activities. Some clubs may have a focus in alpine or nordic skiing, racing or jumping.
Ski clubs in different cities can be a charter of a larger national organization, like the Ski Patrol or the National Brotherhood of Skiers, and some can be built by members of the same employer. Ski clubs are also organized into geographic regions and each region is governed by a ski council.
