Canaan Valley
Canaan Valley is located on the northern edge of the Monongahela National Forest, 3,200' above sea level, Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center boasts over 6,000 acres of woodlands, meadows, hills, and streams, and is minutes from the Nation's 500th Federal Wildlife Refuge. Snowshoe Mountain
Snowshoe is an "upside down" resort, with all the base facilities located at the top of the mountain. To get to the "base" - which is also the "top" - it's a five mile drive up the access road from the valley to the summit. All the resort facilities (condos, restaurants, shops, parking, etc.) are located along a ridge at the top of the mountain, and the lifts and trails fan out from there into the valley. If you want to lose somebody, just tell them "meet me at the base." Snowshoe is already the largest and most popular winter resort in the mid-Atlantic and southeast regions. And the company has developed Snowshoe's year round attributes (which include a championship golf course and excellent mountain biking facilities in the summer) in order to take a place as one of Eastern North America's leading destination resorts.

Timberline
Timberline ski resort is located high in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia. The resort's unique location is a place known for cool temperatures, long winters, and abundant natural snowfall. Over 150 inches of natural snow falls on the mountain each season, and consistent winter temperatures provide great snow making weather from November through March.
